FINALLY…..On the Road Again!

(NOTE: The feature photo is our shih tzu, Zoey, who is such a great little traveler!)

After a month and four days in the St. Louis area visiting parents, sisters, brothers, kids, and grandkids (weekends trips to see some family in Springfield, MO, and Edmond, OK), we are finally headed to our next destination. Don’t get me wrong; we have thoroughly enjoyed our time with family, but we were ready to be “On the Road Again.”

We are always planning ahead. In planning our trip home to see family over the Christmas holidays, we decided it would work best to leave the small Honda CR-V in STL and separately drive the Honda Pilot to our winter destination (when coming home for the holidays, we leave the RV and just drive the car home). Jack drove the RV and I led the caravan driving the Pilot. We didn’t want to drive more than 5 hours each day, so we spent three nights/four days on the road south.

This was my “view” during our four day trek to our next destination.

If you zoom in and look at the rear view mirror, you can see our RV behind me. It was quite a journey these last four days. We are both really tired!

We had a little “surprise” waiting for us when we arrived at our RV resort. I’ll post more about the surprise and the RV Park in a day or two. Gotta get all settled in here!

So, for now ….. “On the Road Again!”
