Austin

Almost three weeks ago, we moved north from San Antonio to Austin, TX. We are staying at La Hacienda RV Resort. It is a very nice park owned by the Sun RV Resorts group which seem to be all over the country (at least the southern part of the country).

The people here are very nice. We had trouble getting our motor coach leveled on the site they gave us (it just would NOT level at all). When we went back to the office, they found three other sites that would accommodate the length of our coach as well as the length of the time we wanted to stay. They told us to look at all three and just give them a call to let them know which one we were taking. That was really nice!

Here are some pictures of the park.

The registration office and camp store.

The activity center.

Inside the activity center.

Laundry room and showers building.

The porch of the laundry building has a ping pong table, foosball, and air hockey tables.

Fitness building.

About a week after we settled in at La Hacienda RV Resort, I flew to St. Louis to spend some time with my dad. Jack and Zoey stayed at the RV, and I always hate leaving them. At least they had much warmer weather than I did in STL. After I spent a week in STL, I flew back to Austin. I thought Zoey was going to wag her tail off when she saw me! I was glad to be back “home” too.

Here is our campsite and Zoey, Jack, and I are enjoying sitting outside today. Well, you have to look really closely to find Jack, and, of course, I’m not in the picture because I am taking the picture. 🤣😂🤣

We are so blessed to be able to do what we are doing. Now that the weather has hopefully stopped being so rainy and cold, we will resume our exploration of the area.

So, for now ….. “On the Road Again!”

Betty

Inside of the activity center looks absolutely amazing, I only wish we had parks like these in Europe! Absolutely loving the way you make the most of your life by traveling to new places! Thanks for sharing and have a good day 😀 Aiva

    Hey there Betty!
We just left La Hacienda RV Resort after being Winter Texans since last November. We are already missing the Austin area and our son and his family who live nearby.

I was just reading some of your posts. We arrived at La Hacienda Feb. 7 after being in San Antonio for a month. When did you leave here? Who knows, maybe we will run into you on the road some time (NOT literally, 😊 of course)! Safe travels!

Small world. We left on Feb 24th, so yes, we were there at the same time. We were in B section, lot 72, one of the back in sites. Looking forward to staying in touch…..
