We have been in Maine since June 26. We have really enjoyed it here. We have taken several day trips (see previous posts) and just relaxed on rainy days. Scarborough, Maine, where the RV park is located, is just south of Portland, and it is a very nice area.

We have eaten lobster rolls at some sea side places several times already. I’m still trying to decide if I like them. The last one we had was definitely the best one and garnered a decent culinary review from me. Now onto the main Maine menu item…

LOBSTER! 🦞 Some locals told us about a place about nine miles east of the RV park. It’s called The Bait Shed located at Pine Point, Maine. It is a casual outside eating establishment on the inland waterway side of the land.

We both ordered the one lobster dinner. The lobster came whole with potato salad, corn on the cob, melted butter, and a roll. Since my hands don’t work very well any more because of arthritis, I had a little trouble cracking open the little stubborn guy’s claws and tail. Jack was gracious enough to help me out when needed.

The meal was delicious! Plus it was a reasonable price for lobster. I also ordered dessert – bread pudding! I love bread pudding and hardly ever see it on a menu, so I just had to have some. I shared it with Jack. It was a little different from what I’m used to, but it was fantastic. Sorry – no photo. I just didn’t think, and we “dug in” too fast. I would highly recommend eating here if you are ever near Portland, Maine!

So, for now ….. “On the Road Again!”
